Another bit of time to post. I’m working on a recruiting web site for the athletic department. It’s coming together very quickly. In my A.I. class, I’m going to write a face detection program using neural nets. This mostly consists of weight adjustments based on a test set of images that contain faces and images that don’t have any human faces. I heard it moves fairly quickly from another person in the class. I hope to start and finish it on Saturday.

I never realized I was missing such a great movie. Sneakers is a movie everyone should see many times over. I’m visiting my sister and her husband for spring break. It’s a really relaxing vacation so far. At work, I’ve been placed in charge of a really important project. No, It’s not the kid’s site. That has been put on hold until I finish this new project. The Link of the Day is of the new cellphone friendly version of my job’s web site. That was put together in about a week’s worth of part time work. So, I hope to get a jumpstart the new stuff this week while I relax. The land over here is very beautiful. The town I’m in is surrounded by small mountains. For some reason, it reminds me of Door County.

Update on the game mod:
My goal for this week is to have a demo map, interface, and standard gameplay in place before friday. I’ll post screenshots of things once it starts coming together. I will probably get started on it tomorrow evening.

I’ll begin work on the adventure mod this weekend. I’ve found a lot of information on modding the half-life 2 engine. So, If I can take an AI entity and build it so it acts as the main character of the game. I’ll tackle all the easier problems since they will take much less time for me to implement.

I’m rebuilding the kid’s site to be the best out of all athletic departments in the country. I can say that the next version is going to be incredible, and will be doing something most websites have only dreamed of doing. I hope to have the rebuild done by the beginning of this summer.

I have had a very busy semester so far. I’m finally in a lull before I have two more midterms next week. Then I’m off for Spring Break. I’ll be visiting my sister and her husband then. So, what’s my latest project? I have many I had to put on the side for now. This includes 3d cartoons characters for my job, dancing mice, and I am no longer working on a web site for some relatives. I have decided on a project for Spring Break.

Adventure Mod:
I’m going to take the half-life 2 source engine and make an adventure modification based in a sci fi universe that totally rocks. This will most likely be a demo so I don’t spend years on it. I’ll be changing the hud and in-game navigation extensively. I also have to create the traditional adventure inventory. These are just a few engine changes I have to create before I can even begin making a game. I hope to have a rough demo by the end of May.
