Timmy

Last week I was assigned the task of designing a character. I was watching Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride and wanted to base it off those forms. And so, Timmy was born. He is a character from a cartoon a friend and I have been wanting to make for a long time. I had started drawing all the characters in the Simpson’s style. I’m now starting to lean towards this style more than the other. In any case, I’m making a cutout animation with the character this week, and will have something made by Monday. This is all being done in Flash.
In other news, I and some friends are entering the 24 hour film competition for Apple called Insomnia. We’re making a musical, and this should turn out wonderful if all works out this week. Midterms are just around the corner and assignments keep being delivered by the teachers. It’s a good week.

I think it will go well. Voting for the contest starts Friday. So, I’ll be sure to send out emails, post the link here, and all that other stuff to get people to help us with their votes.
They’re finally going to have a iPhone SDK. I might start writing apps for it when that comes out. It would give me a reason to buy the phone. Port vnc over to it.

Hi- I got a copy of a Map of arda from your website. I am wondering where and what it comes from- who the artist is? I am using it as inspiration for a map I am drawing.
SOrry- for this question running into the comment area- I could not figure any e-mail or contact info.
Thanks.

That’s fine Deborah. I searched a good number of pages deep in Google image search to find the Map of Arda. I’d be very interested to see your future drawing. as you can see in the comments of the post, the map has inaccuracies. This includes the area of Doriath and Angband being in the wrong place. I still prefer this map over all others. I’m not sure where it originally comes from, but I definitely want to find an original paper copy some day.
