Working On A Project

Eyeball

You always get interesting stuff when it come time to work on an advertisement. Who would’ve thought that I’d be animating eyeballs, crashing people into cars, and everything else I can find time for in a few short days. Well, I better get back to it.

Catching Up

Don't Be A Hero

I spent my Sunday afternoon catching up with the work I have to do outside of my day job. The image you see above is a part of a Lazy Susan composite for that commercial I’ve had on the fryer for at least two weeks. I’ve been trying to find the time to finish this, and I think I’m getting close to having a cut that’s almost good enough to show. Part of the problem with this project was that we only shot wide shots. If we had a few more close ups I’d be much happier. Facial expression is a large part of modern movies. However, David Bordwell encourages more body acting alongside the face. I want a balance between the two, especially when working on a commercial that will likely be viewed at a rather small frame size.

In any case, I also brought my camera with me last weekend to get some golden hour, birds, and even some slow motion of hummingbirds. It was a wonderful time. I also saw my cousin who is trying to get into the recording business. I wish him my best. Well, I better get going.
