StudioLive Digital Mixer

Presonus StudioLive 16.4.2

Behold, the mixer I have been waiting for. It can record 16 channels simultaneously at an affordable price yielding professional results. It is on the very top of my to buy list at the moment. The company supports linking two mixers together to allow for 32 channels of recording, but I would prefer to have one solid 24 channel desk to work with instead because the snake I use has 24 channels.

Passion World Tour in Sydney

Passion World Tour in Sydney, Australia

How crazy cool can a day get? I went with my fiance down to Sydney yesterday and we met with our wedding photographer for the first time. We then headed over to Myer’s and added more items to the gift registry that we had forgotten. Finally, the day was finished with a night of Chris Tomlin, David Crowder and Louie Giglio at a free event called Passion World Tour. Only downer was that it was extremely raging loud. It was nice to finally see the Passion bands and hear Louie speak.

Black Stump Music Festival

Sevem Mi Lord

Last weekend was pretty different from any other weekend I’ve ever had. Gift registries and music festivals… even a birthday party. The image above is of my fiance’s band playing at the gig. The lights were great and the sound was bleeding. It was all around perfect. Probably one of the best sets the band has had since I’ve been around. Well, other than the weekend it’s a steady flow of work for me.

EP Recording

Piano played by Anna at the recording

This last Saturday I got up at 4:30 am and drove to a studio to get to the recording for the band I’ve mentioned in my emails. I brought my rig to the session and captured the image above along with a number of other shots (~13 minutes of footage). It was a long day, but I hopped into a spa in the evening to loosen the muscles. I made a video for last Friday that turned out pretty much how I was intending. Some time next week, I will leave this area and head up the coast. I’m not looking forward to it, but I know that it is something I should do. The cool thing is that I’ll be mixing for the band this Saturday. At first, it also included Friday, but that ended up not happening. This trip has rocked my world, and I recommend something like this for every person I know.

Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson in Sydney

Last Saturday I drove down to Sydney to get to the Jack Johnson concert. It was wonderfully relaxing and worth the trip one hundred times over. He had some great opening bands. This included G-love and Special Sauce, Will Conner, and another that wasn’t worth remembering because the lead was pretty strange. In any case, I think that day rates as one of the best if not the best. Well, I have things to continue doing. Until next time.
